Questions To Ask When Selecting Songs
- Is this song biblically and theologically sound?
- Who is the song about?
- Who am I speaking to in the song?
- What is main message of the song?
- Can the congregation sing this song?
- Is this song culturally acceptable in my congregation?
- How new/old is this song?
Song Set Guideline
- Start with God!
- Sing more about God than about yourself
- Include a song of response to who God is
- Your song set must never start and end in the same place. Take the congregation on a journey.

Proclamation & Praise
A song/s that declares who God is, highlights his characteristics. Every song should not have the same message.
Song of Response
A song/s that allows the congregation to respond to the God we have been singing about
Other Considerations
